My Brain on Autopilot

About

Ask questions. It's in our human nature.

Really?

So there’s like this unwritten rule about the first week of class. You know the one where the seat you take is pretty much the one you’ll have for the rest of the semester. But you have to be in class at the same time every day for that week. Cause if you’re not, someone will take that seat that you carefully chose and said (internally) “hey, this is my seat.”

Apparently, my Modern Italy class did not remember the rule. Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the last EIGHT weeks I have attempted to come in and sat in my seat that I chose on the first day of class. Problem: There’s either a girl and a guy that pretty much try to take it if I’m not there on time every time. It’s awkward because out of all the seats in the classroom (it’s a big classroom) they choose to take mine.

It’s just perplexing because they see me, they know I sit here, and yet they still try to sit where I do.

EDIT: Apparently my advertising class also does not know the rule of seating. Sweet.
